SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY

High School and College-Age Dependents

ELIGIBILITY

The applicant must meet ALL of the requirements below:

The applicant must be a dependent child who is a dependent of a military member or civilian employee of the Department of Defense (GS employee/Contractors) or who otherwise qualifies for command sponsorship due to the sponsor’s assignment or employment at Robins AFB, GA.

This includes:

a. Active duty or GS/Contractor personnel

b. Retired military personnel*

c. Deceased military personnel*

d. A military member stationed at Robins AFB GA, but the applicant resides elsewhere (must submit a copy of orders).

The applicant must have a valid military identification card or access to a copy of the sponsor’s DD214, as proof of service (with honorable discharge). For Contractor personnel dependents, you must submit verification of Sponsor’s contractor position at Robins AFB, GA. Email Scholarships@robinsspousesclub.org for details.

The applicant cannot be a family member of the Scholarship Committee, nor any of the judges.

LIMITATIONS

This scholarship may be used ONLY for payment of tuition, room, board, books, or other fees PAID THROUGH THE FINANCE/BURSAR'S OFFICE of an accredited school of the student's choice. Accreditation must be recognized through CHEA, HLC, or another authorized accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
It is the applicant's responsibility to let the RSC Scholarship Director know if they become ineligible for the scholarship.
Winners shall not be awarded the actual scholarship until he/she is accepted to an accredited school and provides the RSC Scholarship Director a verification of enrollment from the school. The RSC Treasurer will mail the scholarship award DIRECTLY to the school of enrollment.
Should a recipient transfer to another accredited school before using all available funds, remaining funds may be transferred by the original school to the new school of the student's choice. The RSC Scholarship Director must be notified immediately.
Should the winner cease to attend classes at the school of choice and not immediately transfer to another school, any money remaining in this fund shall be returned to the RSC Philanthropic Account.
Any student planning delayed school enrollment should notify the RSC Scholarship Director immediately. All scholarship funds must be dispersed by December 14, 2024. Money not deposited into the student's school of choice by that date will revert to the RSC Philanthropic Account.
Scholarship money reverting to the RSC for any reason will be returned to the Philanthropic Account.

Applicants may apply for only one RSC scholarship.
Funds are not applicable to summer terms as it applies to a traditional quarter or semester schedule for most degree programs.
Preference will not be shown to any RSC members or their dependents.
Essay Judges will not be affiliated with the RSC, and all personally identifiable information will be redacted before the essays are sent to the judging panel.
Eligible applicants will attend an accredited technical certification, state licensing agency/school, associate, bachelor, master, specialist, or doctoral program full or part-time in the Fall of 2025.

DEADLINE/CONFIRMATION OF RECEIPT

The application and all appropriate paperwork must be submitted via the Scholarship online Application by 11:59pm EST on February 28, 2025.
INCOMPLETE OR LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
You will receive a confirmation email verifying receipt of your application. If you have submitted your application, but not received verification by March 7, 2025, contact the RSC Scholarship Director immediately.
All materials submitted with the application become the property of the Scholarship Committee. Documents will not be released to applicants, nor will they be forwarded to other institutions or agencies. After selection, the application materials will be destroyed to ensure privacy is maintained.
